ROLE

WEBSITE DESIGNER

Moringa Ventures is a Singapore-based deep-tech venture builder focused on transforming science-driven innovations into scalable businesses.

As the Website Designer for their website redesign, my role encompassed conducting an initial UX audit, defining visual and interaction direction, designing high-fidelity layouts, and delivering a polished handoff to development. The goal was to reflect Moringa’s strategic depth and venture-backing credibility while making their value proposition and services immediately clear and engaging for founders, investors, and partners

Communicating Depth Without Complexity

A significant challenge was balancing Moringa’s sophisticated positioning as a deep-tech venture builder with the need for clear, accessible content. Deep tech spans AI, biotech, materials science, and energy—areas that can feel abstract or highly technical to general audiences. Translating this into web content and interaction design meant distilling complex value propositions into concise, digestible modules without diluting credibility.

Structured Hierarchy and Strategic Messaging

To address this, I established a structured visual hierarchy that guides users from broad value statements into deeper, contextual detail. I employed modular content blocks with clear headings, concise descriptions, and distinct calls to action tailored to different user goals. Visual elements such as icons, card layouts, and consistent spacing enhanced scanability, while strategic use of typography and color reinforced trust and professionalism across devices. Close collaboration with the development team ensured that the design system was implementable, responsive, and performance-optimized.

Clarity Is a Strategic Asset

This project reinforced that website design—especially for complex B2B entities like venture builders—is fundamentally about clarity of message and audience alignment. I learned that strong IA, purposeful content structuring, and iterative stakeholder reviews are vital for ensuring that strategic depth does not become confusion. Most importantly, I saw how a well-designed web experience can position an organization not just as a service provider, but as a strategic partner for innovation.
